Written by kim B. Brown
The problem of heartbu
or acid reflux is very common today. We hardly hear of any grown ups who have not gone through this uneasy or rather the painful situation of extreme acidity. Even children and teenagers of today experience heartbu
s. So it is absolutely necessary for one to know the causes for heartburn.
All of us are aware that what we eat today is not at all healthy as most of the things are adulterated and a lot of artificial manures are used for growing more. Hence there are possibilities of heartbu
from consuming certain foods like fried foods, fast foods, too much of spicy foods and other unhealthy food. Actually heartbu
is a symptom of gastro esophageal reflux disease. It occurs due to a small physical problem in the food pipe for which reason the acid from the stomach splashes up into the esophagus and cause a burning sensation. But what are the reasons that trigger these problems?
Foods that are greasy, high fat meat, margarine and butter, creamy sauces, salad dressings and such others that have an excess of fat that cannot be digested very easily. In such cases when the digestive juices cannot burn out the fats there is an obvious upward pressure of the gases which cause the burning sensation and may even lead to heart ailments.
Other foods that contribute to the causes for heartbu
are carbonated beverages like cold drinks. Too much of tea, coffee, alcohol and even citrus fruits can cause heartburn.
We have always been advised to eat a healthy well balanced diet and along with it a healthy lifestyle. That means we should follow a routine lifestyle if we want to stay healthy and fit. And this indicates that we should do some regular exercises both in the morning and a light one before going to bed. We should never go to sleep with a full stomach. If we do so, we are sure to jump up at midnight with a tremendous heartbu
which is unbearable and that may sometimes lead to mild heart attacks also.
Another important thing that we need to remember regarding the causes for heartbu
is that we should never eat more than we need. The food may be delicious and very healthy too. But over eating will spoil all the fun of the sumptuous delicacies that we have enjoyed. Our stomachs have a certain amount of capacity to digest the food that we eat. So anything in excess will only lead to problems.
It sometimes happens that even after having a light meal we are suffering from heartbu
s. So what is the reason behind this? Actually while eating very few of us take care to see if we are taking a balanced diet or not. Often one of the main causes for heartbu
is eating the wrong types of food. An example is, if we eat protein rich foods accompanied with a lot of creamy foods that are full of fat, then this can surely start to cause acidity in your stomach and lead to heartburn.
