Transitional cell cancer is a cancer occurring in the urinary system that includes the kidneys, urinary bladder and accessory organs. It is one of the most common types of bladder and kidney cancer. It has been found to be the most common type of bladder cancer and urethra. Transitional cell cancer happens to be the second most common form of kidney cancer. This type of cancer is an example of malignancy caused by carcinogenic influences existing in the home or working environment. In case of transitional cell cancer the doctors may even opt for cyctoscopy which involves images obtained form a camera mounted at the end of a flexible tube to get the actual level of infection and spread of cancer cells for formulating the best treatment regimen.
