Celebrity voice coach Bob Corff is celebrating his 10th year as the official voice coach of Hollywood’s Independent Spirit Awards. Corff was hired by the show’s producers in 2002 and has been a part of the prestigious ceremony ever since.

The Independent Spirit Awards have long been an important part of acknowledging independent filmmakers in the film industry, and that’s why the ceremony is always just before the Oscars. This year’s show had the typical star-studded cast: Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor, Mark Ruffalo, Terrence Howard, Jesse Eisenberg, Melissa Leo, Paul Rudd, Sandra Oh, Zoe Saldana, and Uma Thurman – all of who worked with Bob backstage before presenting on-camera.

The categories for nomination at The Spirit Awards are as diverse as The Academy Awards, some of which include: Best Feature, Director, Screenplay, Female Lead, Male Lead, and the coveted John Cassavetes Award.

Winners for the 2011 show include:

Best Feature: Black Swan

Best Director: Darren Aronofsky, Black Swan

Best Screenplay: Stuart Blumberg, Lisa Cholodenko, The Kids Are All Right

Best Male Lead: James Franco, 127 Hours

Best Supporting Male: John Hawkes, Winter's Bone

Best Female Lead: Natalie Portman, Black Swan

Bob Corff started his career on Broadway and eventually branched off into movies and television. He was signed as a contract player for Universal Studios before landing a lead role on the hit television series “The Everyday Show,” which hosted an array of the hottest stars of the 1970s and 80s. At the height of his career, Bob decided to dedicate himself to teaching full time. For more information on Bob Corff, visit http://www.CorffVoice.com
