CELPIP English Exam Available to be Written in India

As many people would be aware of, CELPIP is one of the two language exams that is considered for a language proficiency test to migrate to Canada. Apart from IELTS, CELPIP is another language exam accepted by the Canadian government for Canada Immigration programs. Canada Express Entry is an online route to migrate to Canada introduced by the government in 2015 to bring all the Federal immigration program under one roof. Express Entry accepts two language exam: English and French. The English language exam through CELPIP and IELTS are accepted for the program. Earlier the language exam was only available in Canada with no access to any other part of the world. So aspiring applicants had but one choice of language exam i.e. IELTS. The CELPIP exam available at Chandigarh in India will cost CAD 200 for each candidate.
The good news is that the CELPIP exam is now available in Chandigarh in India, USA, UAE, and Philippines. Any potential skilled worker planning to migrate to Canada through Express Entry Immigration program now has two options for language exam. There is no specific advantage of taking one test above the other. But considering the huge uptick of candidates planning to migrate to Canada, the introduction of CELPIP exam in other location has made it a little more comfortable and convenient for the prospective candidates to write the exam. Many candidates are facing great difficulties to register for IELTS due lack of ample available slots.
As of now, the exam is available in only one state. If the responses are overwhelming, there is every possibility that the organization may consider spreading it to other states and cities in India. If that happens in a few days, candidates may be even more inspired to apply for a Canada Permanent Residence visa.
