Central Teaching Ability Test (CTET)

Our education system has changed drastically over the past few years. It has evolved from an information providing establishment to a much more organized structure. It has extended in various dimensions, growing and spreading education. Due to a considerable amount of increase in the level of education there is a high demand of teachers. New schools, colleges and universities have been opened in various parts of India which requires high qualified faculty. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is unit set up to conduct examinations all over India. Recently, the government has assigned another major responsibility to the Central Board of Secondary Education, called the Central teaching ability test (CTET). rnIn 2009, the right of children to free and compulsory education was passed. This led to a great demand for highly qualified teachers, to teach the students even in the remotest areas of India. It is a large task and requires hard work and dedication. However, the government is not ready to compromise on the quality of teachers due to due to the enormity of the task. Only high qualified teachers would be recruited for both the primary and the secondary level. Therefore, the government has appointed CBSE to conduct central teaching ability test for the recruitment of teachers. The selected teachers will be recruited in the government schools and schools under the administration of UT of Chandigarh and Andaman and Nicobar islands. They can also be recruited to private schools which exercise CTET.rnCTET aims at further increasing the level of education in India. They will recruit the best teachers who are confident and well educated. The question paper is designed by a team of professionals from central board of secondary education who have set the standard of question papers very high in order to recruit only the most capable candidates. Fluency in language, good communication skills, highly educated etc. is the basic qualities that will be judged. They should also be patient as they would have to deal with students from all age groups and from any background. CTET will provide a large platform to all those individuals who have the skill and knowledge to teach others and share their information. Central teaching ability test is an endeavour to spread the wings of education in a large sphere. It will help in recruitment of many high qualified teachers in various schools and colleges.
