Hypnosis has been in practice since hundreds of years and is by a no means a new-age concept, unlike its modern counterpart, Hypnosis Sydney. However, not many are aware of the origin of hypnosis, as this technique is still in the exploration stage. It is believed that the word ‘hypnosis’ has been derived from a Greek word ‘hypnos’, which supposedly means ‘sleep’. Further, hypnosis is considered to be an abbreviation of ‘neuro-hypnotism’, a term coined by James Braid. ‘Neuro-hypnotism’ is the scientific name for the sleep of the nervous system.

The truth behind this science was first unleashed by Franz Anton Mesmer, a famous Australian physician. In the 1700s, he suggested that the root cause behind any sort of illness is the deficiency of magnetic fluid in the human body. On the basis of this theory, he started treating his patients using magnet and other hypnotic techniques. Ironically, his method of working was strongly criticized by the contemporary medical communities. His critics termed him as fraud and rubbished his techniques. However, in the 1900’s, Milton H. Erickson gave a new leash of life to hypnosis or hypnotherapy, as it is commonly known. So it would not be wrong to say that the foundation of Hypnosis Sydney was laid almost a century back, however there is no scientific evidence to prove it.

Nevertheless, Hypnosis Sydney is considered to be one of the most effective tools that can be used to bring change into a person’s life. Experts suggest that it is a changed state of consciousness in which various parts of one’s conscious mind, viz. evaluating, judging and reasoning are detoured. This technique is quite mysterious, as not many have been able to understand the science behind it. However, what matters is that many doctors have successfully used this science to cure their patients. Hypnosis Sydney as a technique follows some steps that are usually interconnected. During the course of the therapy, the body tends relax and the thoughts get channelized. This therapy primarily stresses on lowering down high blood pressure and pulse rate. It has also been found effective in controlling the habit of smoking and countering obesity. However, before going for a session, a person should definitely check the credentials of the hypnotist to be sure of his safety.
