Chardham Yatra – The Relevance
This yatra was defined by the Adi Shankarachaya as combination of two Vaishnavi sites, one Saivite site and one mixed one. Dwarka
It is the abode said to be the dwelling place of lord Krishna once upon a time. So it is a spot of relevance in the Vaishnavite sect of Hinduism. It is said that the sea destroyed this city and it merged into water 6 times. You have the beautiful temple of Dwarkadeesha at this place. When you come to this place, the flute sounds of lord Krishna will really soothe your mind and you will be filled with those golden divine verses of the Bhagvad Gita.
Jaganath Puri in Orissa
This is the third in the list. It is a grand temple located in an oldest city in east part of Orissa. This is a 1000 year old temple and the abode of lord Jaganath, the Lord of the universe. The sea is located near the temple. The annual fair is very famous and attracts lacs of pilgrims from different parts of India and world.
Rameshwaram
This is fourth in the list of char dham yatra. It is located in the Indian state of Tamil nadu near the Gulf of Mannar. As per the legend, it is a place where lord Rama is said to have built the bridge with the help of army of monkeys.
