Combined Safari to Ngorongoro in Tanzania

Ngorongoro Crater is located in the western half of the Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This crater is also known as the 8th wonder of the natural world. This is the biggest crater on earth. Crater was formed after an enormous volcanic explosion called a caldera, three million years. This protected area has become a UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. Protection zone is part of the Serengeti eco system and home to 25,000 large mammals. This is a unique area where wildlife is protected while allowing people to live. Masai community who are totally allowed to graze cattle nomads, as they continue with their traditional way of life preservation.
Ngorongoro crater is 600m deep, and the crater floor occupies 260 square kilometers. This area has the largest number of mammalian predators, the whole of Africa. In 2001, had the highest population of 62 consecutive lion. Crater floor consists of meadows, forests and swamps of the mixture. Lake Makati, soda lake, which is filled with mung river provides enough water to wild animals and the Masai people. Ecological environment is also a great place for animals to feed, hide and climb trees.
Crater fertile volcanic soil, which retains enough grass and lush forest all year round. As a result, and herbivore predators and remain throughout the area. One side effect of this conservation area is a lion-breeding population.
