Learning a new language can be a lot of fun. But it is a slow process and requires patience and perseveration. Many people who begin learning a new language never achieve fluency because they quit midway. They become disheartened when they face obstacles in their path to acquiring a new language. Here are some common roadblocks language learners face –

 Limited vocabulary – Often language learners do not practice speaking the language they’re learning because they are critical of themselves knowing very few words to communicate with. It hinders their exposure and in turn, their ability to learn new words.

 Lack of confidence in speaking ability – They may be able to read or write in their target language fluently but fail miserably at speaking. The trick here is to find native speakers to converse with. The more you communicate with a native speaker, the better you will understand the nuances that go into speaking the language.

 Frustration – Many language learners experience frustration when they get stuck in the process of learning a new language. It is natural and shouldn’t be reason enough for them to give up learning the language altogether.
