Bank recruitment is a tough procedure. Banks have to carefully recruit the best candidate for the vacant job keeping in mind the responsibilities that a bank employee has to undertake. They conduct bank exams which are followed by an interview session. This requires a lot of hard work and is a time consuming process. IBPS has provided a solution to this problem by introducing the CWE (common written exam) which will be conducted in 2011, for the first time. These exams will be a medium for direct entry into 19 reputed public sector banks of India. There is vacancy for different posts at various times. This exam would provide a score card to the students who clear the exam. They can present this score card when a vacancy for the post of bank po arises in any of those 19 public sector banks. A high standard of question paper would be set keeping in mind the reputation of the banks involved. A team of highly trained professionals will evaluate the answer sheets and choose the most capable candidates.

Thus, IBPS has provided a common platform for recruitment in many top-notch public sector banks of India. These exams will be commenced in November 2011. This is an innovative strategy introduced by IBPS which would help in the process of bank recruitment. Government has approved of the plan after scrutinizing the strategy from various angles and appreciated the efforts of IBPS.
