Conservative Policies and How They Aim to Fix the Country's Problems

Our country is embroiled in intense debates regarding a wide range of topics. One of the main topics of debate currently is illegal immigration. However, our representatives are also concerned about topics such as abortion, capital punishment, and education. Here's a look at current conservative policies on some of these topics.

Our country can actually benefit from immigration, but illegal immigration isn't necessarily a good thing. The main issue is the fact that illegal immigrants can get into the country so easily. This gives terrorists who hate the country an easy way to get in.

Everyday citizen's lives also should be too affected by government decisions which is also something conservative policies try to address. The government shouldn't be allowed to get so big as to stick its nose in everyday citizen's lives. We're dangerously close to becoming a welfare state also and that certainly shouldn't happen.

Politicians are also concerned about the legality of abortion. There is less solidarity on this issues amongst conservatives however. Whether they believe it's right or wrong though, most believe that the states should get to decide the issue not the federal government. However, the Constitution can be amended to address the issue, giving the federal government some say-so.

Since education has such a strong impact on the future of the country, it's also one of the most pressing issues. Many with religious backgrounds feel that school prayer should be allowed since it's an individual's right to believe whatever he or she wants.

Conservative policies also have something to say about capital punishment too. Many conservatives feel that it is only right for someone who commits murder to be put to death in return. Those that commit murder should be forgiven according to other conservative Christians though.

Many conservatives have a problem with gun rights seemingly being stripped away. Conservatives don't like the thought of the government trying to take away its citizens guns. Only criminals would be left with guns if regular citizens couldn't legally own one.

This is a look at how conservative policies affect some of the arguments currently being had around the country. It doesn't make much sense for people to be allowed to enter the country without going through the proper venues. If we care anything about individual's rights, then we should allow school prayer to go undebated.
