The Magic Of Making Up burst onto the scene in 2007 and to date, it has helped more than 6000 spurned lovers get back on track with their relationships or coping with a break up.

If you are currently on the wrong end of a dumping avoid panicking. In fact, not only that but avoid the feeling of desperation. The best thing you can do right now is to tell your ex the break up is probably the best decision and you agree with it. That in itself is powerful but in this article, we want to see whether your ex is worth getting back.

Not an easy thing to do and will take a lot of courage but as T W Jackson says in The Magic Of Making Up, there is method in the madness...strong method.

Is Your Relationship Worth Saving?

In a nutshell, you need to assess your relationship objectively. The first question you need to ask yourself is your relationship worth saving. It's a vital moment in coping with a break up and the following can help you determine this.

1. Grab a notepad and make two columns.

2. Make one a positives column and the other a negatives.

3. Now it's time to look at your relationship and list the things you liked about it and the things you didn't like. Be objective and also list the positives and negatives about your ex.

4. Things like what made your ex appealing when you first met or the things you enjoyed doing together would be listed in the positives column while the negatives would include any major incidents which occurred between you or things you stopped doing together that you once cherished.

5. Once you have made a list don't make any rash judgments based on your findings just yet. Think about it for a few days, Ideally, putting it away for a week is great because it gives you an extra week to clear your mind.

What Do Your Results Reveal?

It's amazing how much clearer you will look at a situation when you've got things written down on paper and make coping with a break up a little easier. One benefit of this exercise is it will force you to be truthful with yourself.

There may be some negatives which you knew were a problem but simply suppressed them. This could be due to the fact that you didn't want to admit the relationship was in trouble or even that you failed in the relationship.

It will almost allow you to stand outside of your body in a sense and be the third person who can analyze the findings and point out the good and the bad. Stuff you may not see because you're too close to it.

So what do you do with the list? Well, this is where you need to make a decision. If the list of negatives swamps any positives then that could be a clue to go your separate ways. But if there were only a couple of negatives and a ton of positives then you've got some work to do.

The idea of making yourself more desirable by making yourself less available doesn't make a lot of sense when you think about it.
