Coming soon as a good news for those wishing to take up a career as teaching in the government schools can now apply for Central teacher eligibility test (CTET). The ministry of human resource development, govt of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting this test to the central board of secondary education, Delhi. The CTET score and certificate applies to certain categories of schools listed below:
*Schools of the government and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
*Unaided private schools, who consider the option of CTET.
*Schools owned and managed by the state government/local bodies and aided schools also consider the TET conducted by the state government. However, the state government can also consider the CTET in case it decided not to conduct the state TET.

As per the CTET 2012 announcement, the names of the post for CTET November 2012 are:
*Teacher (for classes I to V): primary stage
*Teacher (for classes VI to VIII): elementary stage
*Teacher (for both categories)

The dates for CTET 2012 have also been out and are listed below:
*Online registration opening date: 1 august, 2012.
*Online registration closing date: 31 august, 2012.
*Last date for receipt of application form in CBSE: 7 September, 2012.
*Test date: 18 November, 2012.

TET stands for teacher eligibility test, is also an Indian eligibility test for teachers conducted by both central government and state governments in India. The purpose behind conducting this test is to fulfil and achieve the right to education goals. The CTET examination pattern is of objective type multiple choice question where there will be no negative marking. There will be 2 papers of CTET in which paper I will be for person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V and paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
