The capital of Modern India and a cultural center of India, Delhi is a place that needs to be experienced and explored. The ancient heritage monuments depicting the tales of a bygone era, an abundance of shopping settings, famous worship places, a bustling food culture with a twist of fast-paced life, there is so much that Delhi has to offer to its visitors. Delhi serves as a starting point for many other city tours including Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and much more. To know about India and its culture, a Delhi Trip is a must.

Travel back in time with these heritage monuments:

India Gate:

A beautiful war memorial, built in honor of soldiers who died during the First World War, India Gate is a perfect place to unwind in the evening. It is built using red and yellow sandstones and there is an installation below the India Gate Arch, called as Amar Jawan Jyoti depicted using a rifle and a war helmet. In the evening, it is flocked by the people and you can enjoy the street foods here.

Humayun Tomb:

Built in the Mughal style of architecture, this tomb houses the mortal remains of Mughal emperor Humayun. Also referred as Makabara-e-Humayun, Humayun Tomb is a beautiful piece of architecture built during Mughal Era. The mausoleum is surrounded by English style gardens and you will see a blend of Persian, Turkish and Mughal architecture in the Humayun’s Tomb. You can hang out here and enjoy a sunny day here.

Red Fort:

A popular monument amongst tourists, Red Fort or Lal Qila is a red sandstone monument in Old Delhi. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Red Fort gives a sneak peek into the history of Delhi. It was the residence of Mughal Emperors in the 17th century and it has three beautiful gates. Also, a Light and Sound Show is organized in the fort, which can be enjoyed in the evening.

Qutub Minar:

Made up of red sandstone and marble, Qutub Minar is a spectacular monument with a height of 73 meters located in the Qutub Complex. The minaret is beautifully decorated with carvings that will surely attract you. It is one of the most famous tourist places in Delhi and it is open from sunrise to sunset.

Religious places of Delhi:

Hazrat Nizamuddin, Bangala Sahib, Akshardham Temple , Jama Masjid, Lotus Temple are some of the worship places that can be visited in Delhi. Make sure you cover your head and shoulders properly while visiting any of these worship places.

Shopping Spree in Delhi:

For shopping in Delhi, you need to master the bargaining skills and should have an eye for the best. Sarojini market, Palika market, Janpath market, Lajpat Nagar market will keep you on your toes and you can indulge in shopping for family and friends. Other markets such as Nehru Place market, Gaffar Market can be hunted for tech shopping.
