Dannii Minogue complements Queen on fashion choices
Written by Michael Rosen
The Queen is certainly getting her fair share of attention this year and she hit the headlines again recently when Dannii Minogue described her as a "fashion icon". The Australian singer, TV personality, designer and model is renowned for her flare when it comes to women's fashion clothing herself and so she should know what she is talking about.
According to the 40-year-old, the Queen still makes daring choices when she is selecting her outfits. Dannii claimed that the monarch has avoided drifting off trend.
She remarked: "A grandmother several times over, the queen could be forgiven for sauntering into fuddy-duddy land, but instead, she dresses age-appropriately, sticking to colour-blocking suits she knows, and getting it so right.
"Look no further than the primrose dress she wore to Catherine and William's wedding, and the series of acid-brights she wore for last year's tour of Australia. There aren't lots of octogenarian fashion icons, but this 86-year-old is a bona fide style queen."
Speaking to Glamour magazine, she added that the Queen's wardrobe is a "triumph of stylish functionality" and is perfect for her busy schedule of public engagements.
The celebrity went on to remark: "When she stepped off the plane in Australia last October, she spent most of her 11-day tour walking around, meeting her subjects. Her courtiers must think through every single element of her attire."
Ladies who are looking for inspiration when it comes to glamorous clothing often turn to the stars for ideas and Dannii attracts plenty of media attention when it comes to her own clothing choices. Along with her women's fashion clothing, she has featured in fashion magazines like Vogue and Cosmopolitan.
Many people who are keen to recreate the looks of their famous idols by investing in glamorous clothing now head online to source the products.
