Day Trip From Shirdi And Some Shirdi Hotels
Written by Satya Jit
Shirdi, a small township in the district of Ahmadabad, Maharashtra, is an abode place of Shri Sai Baba. It is believed that Sai Bba, who was a fakir, laid his feet on the grounds of Shirdi at an early age of sixteen years. Throughout his life, he believed and preached the values of love, forgiveness and brotherhood, thereby uniting Hindus and Muslims and guiding them to live in harmony. Today, after years of his departure from the world, devotees, from every corner of the world, flock to Shirdi to get the blessings of Shri Sai Baba and pay homage and worship this sacred Indian Guru. Shirdi tourist attractions revolve around the feasts and festivals of the Shri Sai Baba temple. To ensure comfort and solace to the devotees who come from far-flanked areas, Shirdi hotels take immense pleasure and joy in greeting their guests and provide excellent services with great hospitality.
For a day trip from Shirdi, Shanisinghnapur seems quite interesting and refreshing as well. It is at a distance of 70 km from Shirdi and can be easily traversed by privately hired cars or private buses which keep carrying passengers to and from Shirdi at regular intervals during the day. Shanisinghnapur is a small holy village and marks the abode of Lord Shani of Hindu mythology. This place lets its devotees offer puja and abhishek to their deity, personally with their own hands. If a no-moon day, Amavasya, happens to fall on a Saturday, it is considered very auspicious and special arrangements, for worship, are made by devotees, who come in great numbers, on these days, to get the blessings of Lord Shani from all across the country. A special fan-fare yatra or procession is also conducted on every Shani Amavasya, with lots of offerings given to the deity by its followers. If you happen to visit on one of these days, you can catch a live experience of all such events. A very unique feature of this village lies in the fact that you would not find door-frames and latches or locks in any of the houses here. The locals here believe that due to the blessings of Lord Shani, there is no risk or scope of any kind of crime taking place in this little village. There are small restaurants and road side dhabas where you can stop for a grub, before starting back for Shirdi. However, you can even opt to have the mahabhog from the temple premises.
Shirdi makes for a spiritual holiday destination with family, and Shirdi hotels make for a comfortable and relaxing stay. As there is not much to the place other than the Sai Baba temple, Shirdi hotels have many indoor games and recreational activities for the entertainment of their guests, especially the children accompanying them. These hotels in Shirdi are economically priced, so as to suit the pockets of every section of society. In a nutshell, Shirdi hotels promise a serene and quiet environment, to soothe and relax in the pure and pious atmosphere of this holy place.
