But it has been seen that the percentage of loan defaulters have increased and there is a rise of debt. So, the banks have kept people who can look over these debt collection cases and solve them to take out the money or get the money repaid. There are certain debt collection laws which are there to be followed by the banks when they carry out these operations.

It has been seen that most of the debt collection processes are complex and requires strict regulations and rules. People who are involved in debt collection are mostly rough in their attitude. They behave badly with the people who have suffered from loan default condition. Sometimes when nothing could be done by them, they try to harass the person by calling him in uneven times and making him tensed all through the day. They also send threatening letters to his house so that his whole family also gets involved in it and forget the peace of mind they have.

Even with this, the process of debt collection cannot be avoided as if that is not done then the bank will have a huge loss in terms of finance. So, even after so many cases of harassment, the government is unable to stop the process. So, it has made debt collection laws to make the process better. Now, any person who is involved in debt collection cannot talk to the defaulter directly. He has to set a prior appointment to that person and meet him.

The debt collection laws also say that the bank officials who are dealing in debt collection cannot call the individual at any time except the official working hours. They also cannot behave badly with the defaulters.
