Here is a wonderful recipe that is sure to please everyone. I made this the other day and people loved it… it disappeared in no time. Savory, filling, full of great spices, and full of lots of nutrients for healing the body. This dish is full of resistant starch which feeds our probiotic bacteria in our gut thus boosting up our immune system. It’s anti-inflammatory, full of protein, has a low glycemic index, full of vitamins and minerals, helps with weight loss, lowers cholesterol, helps with pain, helps in the healing and preventing of gastric ulcers, and helps to prevent colon cancer. Cooked Green Bananas are Similar to Potatoes but Much Healthier

Another Whole-Foods Plant-Based Recipe

Ingredients:

4 - Cups of Organic Green Bananas - Peeled and Sliced into 1/2 rounds

1 - Cup of Organic Lentils

1 1/2 - Cups of Organic Brown Rice

1 - Large Red Organic Bell Pepper - Chopped

4 - Green Onions - Chop the White Part for Sauté and Chop the Tops for Later

6 - Organic Garlic Cloves - Minced

4 - Organic Salt-Free Veggie Bouillon Cubes

1/2 - Cup of Organic Cilantro

1 - Teaspoon of Organic Thyme

2 - Tablespoons of Organic Tarragon

2 - Tablespoons of Organic Oregano

1 - Teaspoon of Organic Turmeric Powder

3 - Tablespoons of Organic Barbecue Sauce

2 - Tablespoons of Mrs. Dash Seasoning

Salt and Pepper to Taste

Enough Filtered Water to Cover Everything

In a 10 inch by 3-inch deep pan add the garlic and the white parts of the onions and a little bit of water and sauté until tender. Then add everything else except the green onion tops and simmer until everything is tender and the water has cooked down and it is bubbling through the rice and lentils. Then, turn off the heat and place the cover on the pan and allow the rice to plump up and take in all the seasonings. After it cools fluff it with a fork and add the chopped green onion tops.

Serves 12 People

Served along with a nice green salad this is a full spectrum meal that is extremely healthy and tasty.
