Written by rahul
Students in Limestone County, Alabama, will be able to receive free dental screenings. This will hopefully be able to lead to free or affordable dental care. The free screening is being offered by Limestone County School District is to be agreed upon during a monthly meeting on Monday to Dentists Tulsa OK work with Serrell Regional Center, a nonprofit group that will provide free screenings for students.
The group intends to screen all students in the school district, and provide treatments later on, once they open a clinic, operating in the Limestone County region. The school superintendent announced that the screenings would not cost the students or the school district any money in that it is being funded by Serrell. A building to open its clinic and shortly.
Sorrel has already opened several dental clinics providing free health care throughout Alabama and is aiming to expand into Limestone County to expand its service. The new building they're looking to open in Limestone County will be approximately 1800 to 2200 square feet, and they're planning to look at a ten-year lease agreement for providing long-term care to residents.
Representatives of Serrel say that they've served over 35,000 patients in 2008 and hope to expand their services in the coming years to assist more families in need. This could provide students throughout Limestone County with an excellent way to receive treatment without having first to find potentially expensive dental insurance plans that may or may not cover their conditions.
The group providing the free service is also a partner of the University of Alabama dental school in the Alabama Department of public health and is promoting community well-being without incurring an additional family cost.
The start of a new school year is a great time to revisit dental health procedures in your home and to schedule a dental checkup. By doing so, you'll emphasize the importance of dental health and help your children avoid absences at school due to dental health issues.
According to a report by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, tooth decay is the most common chronic disease of children between the ages of 5 to 17 years, even though it is preventable in most cases.
Additionally, half of the children experience tooth decay before age 8. These two statistics alone help show the importance of making dental care a priority in your household.
The Serrell group is joining a growing trend of providing affordable care for US citizens throughout the country. As the costs of health care continue to rise, affordable or free plans such as these are helping countless families across the nation receive the care that they need to stay healthy and functional and allow children to live life to its fullest if you are one of the millions of people who find it difficult to pay for your medical expenses. Consider looking into nonprofit organizations.Article author
