Being a psychic reader is not the easiest of things that a person can be. Whether the psychic ability is a gift or a burden is something that is particular to each psychic and has a lot to do with his/her mental makeup. While it is true that both severe mental and physical trauma can unleash sudden psychic ability, most psychic readers are aware of their special ability in childhood. If the reader comes from a set up and family that is comfortable with the ability of “seeing”, we find that the reader slowly evolves the art and finds that niche in which their special skills are best displayed.
The other extreme is one that is more possible. Most children who display this special skill are often scoffed at or looked down upon and we find that they either snuff out their ability or explore it in ways that are not usual. Whether born with or acquired suddenly psychic ability has to be honed for it to be useful. The process of honing is most always a lifetime experience and psychic readers, like all of us, learn more as they practice the use of their skill more.
The most important step to developing one’s psychic ability is to be able to open up to the spiritual world completely and trust in your ability to handle the connection with the spiritual world. Like all art forms, this art form too requires immense dedication and a willingness to learn. If these two qualities exist, then all psychical ability can be honed to a point of specialization that helps others. Meditation and understanding the chakras is very essential in the growth of a psychic reader’s art. Through meditation, one is able to control the self and the spirit and with knowledge of the chakras, there is a seamless blending with the spiritual world that does not create any disharmony when the psychic reader seeks the spirits.
The primary tools that psychic readers use to develop their art are their mind, body and soul. While other tools, such as tarot cards, birth harts, rune stones etc., are used, it is the mind of the psychic reader that has to open itself and accept the information that is being transmitted by the spirits from the other side. The body also needs to be healthy and clean of any toxic substance which is possibly why most psychic readers do not endorse the use of alcohol or other stimulants. The inner strength of a psychic reader has to be immense as most psychic readers are called upon during times of great emotional distress and pain. Being empathic, most psychic readers need to build their inner strength to withstand the onslaught of raw emotions that they are exposed to.
The best way to develop the skill is to practice and build both mental and physical strength so as to be able to give the help that they are sought for.
