The latest cosmetic formulations are mineral makeup which is a natural holistic formulation which contains similar pigments as the regular liquid and cream versions. To find the correct match, one should choose a colour in natural sunlight, as artificial fluorescent lights tend to distort the perception of colour. When applying foundation to the face, it should ideally be applied using the fingertips using a light circular motion until spread evenly over the face. To remove any streaks, one should use a makeup sponge and stroke in a downward direction. One should also rub the foundation beneath the chin and into the hairline, and should also be blended around the eye area.
