There are thousands of people who have a burning desire to grow taller. They are insecure of their height and will do almost anything to add a few more inches to their height. Many have went through expensive surgery and have purchased costly pills only to find out they are still short.

There are many ways to grow taller and doing it the natural way is the best because it is the least expensive and anyone could to it. We will be looking at one of the basics of growing taller which is sleep.

Sleep is a very important factor in growing taller. You will not be able grow one inch if you do not get good rest. All the exercise in the world will not benefit you if you are up in the late hour of the night.

The body release human growth hormone from the pituitary gland into the brain when it is at its best rest. Now can you see the importance of getting to bed at a proper time?

Did you know that you are taller in the morning than in the evening? The reasons for this is because of the natural effects of gravity. Gravity has its good side and its bad side, it works for you and at the same time it works against you.

The reason gravity works for you is because it holds you to the earth so you don’t go floating, and it works against you because it compresses your bones, muscles, and vertebral disks, making you a little shorter.

When your laying down to go to sleep the force of gravity is removed from the body causing it to decompress and the skeleton to expand. This is the reason your taller in the morning than in the evening.

Did you know that astronauts actually gain 2 to four inches of height after the force of gravity have been completely removed? I was amazed when I first learned this, because it points out two important truths about growing taller. The first one is that anyone could grow taller no matter how old they are, and the second thing is you could exercise in the morning when you are at your tallest and gain permanent height! So sleep is a blessing and a privilege.

So the best time to go to sleep is anytime before midnight. Try to get to bed by 10pm and sleep for 8 hours. This is the sleep that will help you to grow taller.

These are just a few pointers on how to grow taller by sleeping right. Remember you are doing this to add more inches to your height, so just sacrifice for a short time and get to bed!
