In an era when taking photos is a part of every occasion, it is very natural for you to take selfies. Gadgets, smartphones specifically, are designed for that very purpose and are continually being developed to take photos more efficiently. Adweek, a news platform focusing on the current digital landscape, has called 2014 The Year of The Selfie. The trend of taking selfies, apparently, has continued until 2015. Over the last year, more than a million selfies were being posted on the internet every day. In fact, it makes up for 30% of photos taken by people between the ages of 18 to 24.
Photography became more convenient. Sales of traditional cameras have even fallen dramatically by 40% over the past year. With 92% of smartphone users preferring their phones for taking pictures, having a decent photo of yourself is only a swipe away. This is why most people are becoming conscious of how they look. Being physically presentable any time of the day has become a must. Dressing up and having a dapper style is greatly encouraged, especially by the social media.
If you aspire to always look good and stylish for camera-ready shots, you can consider these hacks to become dapper.
Apply makeup.

You don’t have to put on heavy amounts of makeup on a daily basis. In fact, learning how to put on a “no-makeup makeup look” is a basic skill for women. You can choose from among the wide range of reliable facial products and cosmetics to help keep you looking fresh and natural all day. If you don’t know how to apply makeup properly, you can always visit online tutorials.
Leather jacket to your outfit.
Who doesn’t love a good leather add-on to their overall look once in awhile? While a good leather jacket aesthetically improves every outfit, it is also a good go-to piece that can blend in with whatever you’re wearing. You can pair it with a plain shirt or opt for a top with crazy print.
Groom your eyebrows.
Today’s biggest fashion trend includes having natural-looking, well-groomed eyebrows. Yes, you heard it right. You see, the shape and thickness of your eyebrows frame your face, highlighting your cheekbones and jawline. Terry Barber, the UK director for makeup artistry for the leading brand MAC, says that having a good pair of brows calls for less makeup. You may not have been very particular about it before, but arched brows enhance your selfies. Look for the nearest brow salon or watch DIY videos and tutorials to get you started.
Tame your hair.

Enhance what you already have by maintaining a healthy hair. Keep it clean and fixed. Get a decent haircut that complements the shape of your face, regularly wash it and be creative with it every once in a while. After all, the coolest people who get the most likes are the ones with great hair, right
However, there are those who may encounter hair health problems. This may start earlier than your 20s or during the latter stages of your life. If your mane problems include hair loss or even baldness, then you may consider hair restoration. This may require hair transplant, but you don’t have to be taken aback when you encounter the term “transplant.” All concerns on hair restoration can be easily addressed through the right professionals.
Accessorize well.

While you might think that those little pieces of accessories don’t matter, think again. Such pieces add texture, color and pattern to an overall style. They also keep your outfit looking on point, especially if you wear something more simple and comfortable. Even old, hand-me-down clothes can look trendy with the right accessories. Whether it’s a big necklace or a great hat, it adds character to your own style.
Wear things that flatter your body type.
An outfit may look great on someone else, but not on you. Why is this so? Although buying luxurious articles of clothing and accessories contribute to your overall style, you still need to choose outfits that fit well on you. People have different body types, and knowing which body shape yours belong to enables you to choose which styles enhance your curves.

With more than $48 billion spent on shoes and 29,360 built shoe stores in the U.S., consumers care about their shoes as much as they care about any other accessory. Don’t take your footwear for granted. You may not necessarily be on your heels everyday, but learn to merge comfort and style as a hack to become stylish.
With a more advanced technology today, looking sharp and good shouldn’t be hard at all. In science, there are a lot of beautifying options that you can use. In photos, there are easily navigable applications that can hide imperfections and emphasize your great features.
Nevertheless, people continue to value what’s natural and authentic. Photos may not be as realistic with dozens of photo-editing apps available. Simplicity will always be a classic, so don’t take the fun and ease at doing makeovers or simply enhancing your style.
