Hospitals, healthcare providers, private clinics, private practitioners, group practitioners, nursing homes as well as law firms, consulting firms, insurance firms etc, are all major employers in this sector. Medical coders earn a lucrative living and most of them have flexible scheduling options. This is because most of the health care providers are open 24 hours a day and medical coders can decide the time of the day they can work conveniently at. On the other hand, you also have an option of working from home in some cases.
