Effective Acid Reflux Treatment and Cure

Acid reflux disease is medically known as Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or Gastro-Oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). It is caused when stomach acid escapes from stomach into the esophagus. It can damage the mucous cells of the esophagus or food pipe. Most common symptom of this disease is occurrence of heartburn. Esophagus sphincter holds the top of the stomach closed to prevent stomach acid to enter into esophagus. Stomach acid may escape due to abnormal relaxation of esophagus sphincter. There is another kind of acid reflux which is called Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) or extra esophageal reflux disease (EERD). It is also known as silent reflux because it does not show any chronic symptoms.
There are many symptoms our body produces to indicate that we are suffering from acid reflux disease. Heartburn, trouble in swallowing, nausea and chest pain; are the most common symptoms of it. In some cases symptoms might include, dentine hypersensitivity, asthma, chronic cough, hoarseness and erosion of dental enamel. Frequent burping or frequent hiccups, excessive dribbling, gagging and choking, frequent ear infections, night time coughing, breathe smelling acids are some of the symptoms that shows presence of this disorder in children.
This disorder represents the defect of digestive system. Many people across the world are facing this disorder everyday. In order to gain a complete cure from acid reflux disease; improvement in lifestyle and awareness about this problem is very important. Remedies or medicines can restore body to its healthy state with the help of preventions. Some of the remedies and preventions are mentioned below that may provide a way to rebalance stomach digestion problems.
1. In half glass of water add one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Stir this solution for proper mixture. Sip it while having meals.
2. Add one teaspoon of aniseed and one teaspoon of lavender in two and half cups of boiling distilled water. Let this tea sit for five minutes. When this tea is Luke warm, strain it and add one teaspoon of honey. Have 8 ounce of it twice daily. Having it in the morning and evening is recommended.
3. Roast some fennel seed and chew them slowly; half hour after having meals.
These remedies are quite effective but as mentioned above, to gain a complete cure some lifestyle changes and awareness is also necessary. It is good initiative to be aware of which foods to avoid. At least one can setup limitations on eating such foods. Avoid drinking caffeinated drink, alcoholic beverages and carbonated soft drinks. High-fat foods and spicy foods or too oily foods increase the acid level, so avoid eating them.
Whenever we eat, it is important to eat healthier and smaller portions of food. Fully packed stomach can cause acid reflux by putting extra pressure on esophageal sphincter. That is why, instead of having three large meals prefer to have 5 smaller meals. Long gap between meals will increase the formation of gas and it will trigger stomach acid into esophagus. Always prefer to drink healthy drinks such as water. Drink at least 10 glasses of water. Water will help body to remove toxins and it will also help to expel excessive acid. Other healthy liquid might include skimmed milk or whole milk. Avoid sleeping right after having meal as it can onset acid reflux.
Use the above mentioned remedies and be aware of the mentioned preventions. This will help body to work efficiently and prevent acid reflux.
