Effective Anorexia Remedies - Loss of Appetite Treatment

Anorexia is not a disease but an eating disorder. In this disorder a person do not feel to eat, and gradually losses appetite. This is why anorexia is also called loss of appetite. Many of the medical supervisors believe that anorexia is a kind of nervousness regarding weight gain. That is, a person suffering from anorexia may feel that he is overweight and he must reduce the intake of food. However, in most of the cases it is found that patient’s body weight is 20 percent less than his ideal weight. In such drastic condition, anorexia remedies are very effective to encourage intake of food by increasing the patient’s appetite.

Anorexics believe that, by restricting the essential amount of calories may help them to attain desired physique. In many cases, anorexics fast to the point of starvation and many vomits the food by putting their fingers down the throat. Also they continue to do excessive exercise despite of the fact that their body is getting weaker. This disorder affects the females more severely. Anorexic females believe that fashion dictates slim figure as an attractive and desirable icons. Such females restrict their diet to minimal quantity.

There are some prominent symptoms of anorexia. The anorexics often refuse to accept the importance of ideal body weight. Also, they suffer from dominating fear of looking fat and ignore the fact that they are underweight. Additionally, it is also found that anorexics often suffer from the condition of social withdrawal. Also, it is problematic for them to relate with people. Anorexics may also suffer from the condition of absent-mindedness and fatigue.

This is a very dangerous disorder because in many chronic cases anorexics die due to self starvation. In addition, this disorder affects a person in both physical and mental ways. For example, an anorexic may not be able to sleep well. Also, they may face frequent attacks of fatigue and giddiness, caused due to physical weakness. In addition, anorexics may be depressive and lose their ability of self perception. Fortunately, little awareness and anorexia remedies can help an anorexic to get rid of this crucial health state.

1. Ginger is an excellent diet for anorexics. Peel a piece of ginger and add four drops of lemon juice in it. Also add a pinch of asafetida and black pepper. Blend all of them together to form a thick paste. Have it early morning in an empty stomach.

2. This one is a simple remedy for loss of appetite treatment. Prepare a mixture by adding one teaspoon of lime juice in one teaspoon of ginger juice. Also add a pinch of rock salt. Pour the mixture in a glass and keep in sunlight for 3 days. Have this mixture after every meal to restore the appetite. It can also be stored in large quantity by increasing the amount of ingredients.

3. Include garlic in the diet. Have at least 3 cloves of garlic everyday. It can be eaten raw or in the form of paste or just add it in the soup.

4. Tomatoes are well known for their appetizing properties. Include at least 3 tomatoes in your everyday diet. Eat tomatoes raw by cutting them into slices; one can add a pinch of black pepper and a pinch of salt to enhance the taste.

To summarize, above mentioned anorexia remedies are certainly very effective but awareness is also very important for treatment. If one is willing to get rid of this hazardous disorder, the above mentioned remedies will surely provide a helping hand.
