Effective Home Remedies for Cold Sores - Get Natural Relief

Cold sores are also referred to as herpes labialis, fever blisters, or oral herpes. They are tiny, painful, and fluid-loaded eruptions or blisters, which typically crop up on facial parts, such as mouth, lips, nostrils, jaw and cheek. Factors that can trigger the dormant herpes simplex virus to become active include exposure to sun, fever, menstruation, and stress. All the available cold sore treatments are only meant to reduce the symptoms and to speed up the healing process. There are several safe and simple home remedies for cold sores that have been proven to be effective in controlling the symptoms of fever blister. For instance, applying hydrogen peroxide to the fever blisters is a helpful home remedy for cold sores.
A good home remedy is to mix four acidophilus capsules with milk and have it. Echinacea, a therapeutic herb with antiviral and immune-enhancing qualities, is also a best home remedy for cold sores. Pour a few drops of Echinacea root extract on a cotton ball and apply it directly to the sores twice a day. Lemon balm is another herb that can be used to reduce the recurrence of this problem. It contains polyphenols, which can fight against viruses. Studies have shown that lemon balm can accelerate the healing process of cold sores and to minimize the frequency of cold sore attacks. Rub lemon balm oil or ointment on the sores to get relief fast.
Bee propolis, also called as bee glue or bee wax, is widely recommended as one of the effective home remedies. It is a strong natural antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal medicine and can inhibit the replication of virus. Use a bee propolis product that includes at least 3 percent bee propolis on the sores three to five times daily. However, individuals with asthma or anaphylactic reactions should not use this. A simple home remedy for cold sores is to rub an ice on the sore for a while. Repeat it every ten minutes for an hour. You can also use aloe vera gel or witch hazel on the fever blisters.
In addition to using home remedies for fever blister, you should also take some measures to strengthen your immune system. Try to eat foods that can boost your immunity system. Also, regularly take natural immunity-enhancing supplements, such as zinc, vitami
