India has been recognized all over the world as a great spiritual destination and this is a nation of shrines and temples. The original religion of India is Hinduism but this country is the home to the other world religions and believes in the principal of respect of all faiths. Hindus are deeply rooted in their faith in the religion of their birth and they pay homage to the shrines and temples of historical relevance. By doing this, they get the grace and prosperity in life.
One of the main shrines of Hinduism is the Sri Mata Vaishno Devi located in the Trikuta hills in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a shrine of one of the highest spiritual relevance among the Hindus and is visited by lacs of pilgrims in a single year. The base camp of the shrine is located in Catra and from this place you have to proceed 14 km up the hill to have the glimpse of the goddess in the cave. There is a legend associated with the Vaishno Devi shrine and the people believe that that the goddess can ward of all the wrongs done in this life. They also believe that they will be granted the boon of health as well as prosperity.
You can have the wonderful Vaishno Devi tour along with your relations and friends and it will be an experience that can be unforgettable in your entire life. The tale of Vaishno Devi goes like this. There was a bairav who wanted to kill the goddess in order to receive salvation. The goddess put the arrow and released the river called the Bhan Ganga. Finally she hid herself in the cave and after receiving the powers, she killed the Bairav Nath. Finally he got the salvation and the goddess mother said that the pilgrimage will be incomplete without visitation to the temple of Bairav.
You can reach the top of the hill cave after travelling on foot or on ponies. It will be an interesting experience and you will feel the real touch of spirituality. Mata Vaishno Devi blesses her devotees and there are incidents when people have really testified about this fact but the devotee needs a true faith if he really wants to get the boons. Lot of development has been done and the Sri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine board is an institution in itself. The pilgrims are granted all the facilities during the pilgrimage which includes the wonderful food as well as the accommodation. You can have the Vaishno Devi helicopter tour and the helicopters ply towards the shrine these days. It is really a wonderful experience.
If you want to go by helicopter, it is advised to do the Vaishno Devi helicopter online booking in advance. It is primarily because of the heavy rush of the pilgrims to the shrine. Going to the shrine is an experience that is a life time rememberence for you. It is indeed a pilgrimage that you will remember throughout your life.
