Ranthambore National Park is the biggest and the most famous national park in Northern Part of India. It is located in Sawai district of Rajasthan and spreads over 1,334 Sq Km. Ranthambore National Park was considered as the hunting ground for Maharajas of Jaipur. This park is mainly known for tigers as they are easily spotted in the park. It is a famous heritage site and is surely a treat for every wildlife and nature lover. There are numerous varieties of exotic birds also present in Ranthambore National Park.
Corbett Tiger Reserve is located in foothills of the vast and majestic Himalayan range. This park is famous for its wild population of tigers, elephants and leopards. Corbett National Park was established in 1936. The topography of this park comprises of both hilly and reverie areas. More than 110 tree species, 50 mammal species, 580 bird species and 25 reptile species are found in this park. Elephants are also one of the main attractions of Jim Corbett Park.
Spread over 116 square miles, Gir Sanctuary has been mainly created to protect the last wild population of Lion outside African region. Gir National Park is surrounded with Acacia and Banyan trees and mixed deciduous forests. Gir is not just about Lions, however, it is home to the largest leopard population in any park of India. Smabar Deer, Chital Spotted Deer, Chowsingha Four Horned Antelope, Nilgai Antelope, Wild boar are some famous wild animals found in this park.
