What have I been doing with my life? I always thought that life was suppose to teach me things each and every step of the way. As a young boy I attended school every day because I was told that it would teach me things that I didn’t already know. I graduated from college thinking that I would be wiser from the experience. I have tried and failed on my own for what seems like forever, because I was told that life lessons are invaluable. Imagine my surprise when I finally realized that “Everything I Need To Know About Life I learned In The Last 60 Days”! . Here are the things that I have learned about life over the past 60 days. * Hard work does pay off. * Time spent by yourself is the best way to reflect upon what’s important to you, and only you. It’s also a great way to calm your mind. * When you have teenagers you don’t need the Internet, Wikipedia or Wikileaks because they know everything. * The best date night in the world is one with your kids. I Had the Greatest Date Last Saturday Night! * Every problem that your child has does not need to be solved immediately. * Every other problem that your child has does not require a life altering answer. * Play nice and you will be rewarded. * Staying active and working out, does create more energy and makes you fell 100% better. *Computers breakdown at the worst times. *Death is inevitable. Everything, And Everyone, Have An Expiration Date! * You never get a second chance to make a first impression. * If you don’t allow your children to fail they will resent you for it. * Good grades do not make a successful person. Determination and drive do. * Close friendships are made by giving more than you take. * Crushes do happen and they are fun. * When you die nobody will care about what your credit score was. * If you eat healthy you will feel better * God is very, very good. *Be polite, and thank everyone for who they are, and what they do for you. * Smile and say hello to a stranger as you pass by them , it will make them think why they didn’t do it. * Being 100% honest with people freaks them out. * 14 year old girls do have hormones. Deal with it and don’t try to change it. * Goals are nothing more than a dreams with a deadline. Create them and then follow them like your dreams. * God drops people in your life when you least suspect it to remind you of how blessed you are to be you. * My thoughts have brought me to where I am today, and will take me to where I will be tomorrow. * When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself. * 16 year old boys think that parents are dumb, of no purpose (except for money), and have no idea about life. By the time they turn 21, they will be amazed at how much we actually learned in five years. * When you feel like giving up remember why you held on for so long in the first place. * Each day I am one day closer to my dreams… * And finally… Each and every day of my life is a blessing to be cherished, embraced and thankful for. What have you learned in the last 60 days that I can add to my list?
