Everything You Need to Know about Female Crossfit Comp
Written by Lindsey Marcelli
Do you have a keen interest in the female CrossFit Competition? Then this is the right place for you. This article will let you know everything important about this competition.
The word “competition” comes up with fear, doubt, and anxiety. But winners always manage to overcome the emotional turmoil. When it comes to female Crossfit comp, the matter gets a bit harder. However, a healthy competition enriches us in a number of ways. You might be thinking why you should participate in a competition. This competition is far from your comfort zones. It is more like speaking public, bungee jumping, or getting on an airplane for the first time in your life. The idea is daunting and bravery is needed for this.

Some people give excuses while deciding not to participate; such excuses may include ‘I’m not the right one for this’, ‘I won’t do this’, ‘competitors are so strong than me’, etc. This is nothing but exhausting the self-esteem avenue. Next, they will dismiss the idea of participating in the competition. Such excuses are made of inner fear. We all have some kind of fear; no need of feeling shame for this. Fear has an adverse impact on some aspects of life. The only way to overcome fear is to acknowledge it and take action against it anyway. You should not suppress the fear for a long time.
Ultimately, competing locally is not entirely different than competing in the female Crossfit competition. You’ll be actually testing your fitness against another group of athletes. That potential piece of humble pie can be the trigger you need to determine how you can take your skills and training to the next level.
Are you ready?
If you are healthy, training without any hassle, and loving your regular CrossFit workouts, then you are ready. Most competitions are likely to cast a wide net. Sometimes, some small events may not have so many advanced movements including muscle-ups, handstand pushups, or pistols. On the other hand, you will notice a blend of divisions that cater to all ability levels. By exercising your homework on a regular basis, you will grow some skills within you. Local competitions can also tend to scale down generously for masters and scaled divisions.
If you are going for a scaled event, then you may look for the following substitutions:
• Toes to the bar get knee ups
• Box jumps get step-ups
• Pull-ups get jumping pull-up
• Double unders get single unders
While participating in such a competition, you should be prepared to see a lot of movements, which are easy to do, even in painful rep schemes. From what I’ve experienced, the scaled division tends to operate “burner” workouts with light weights and simple movements. Perfect for beginners to get their feet wet.
How to Find the Right Local CrossFit Competition?
The best way of finding good competition is to ask your gym mates. At least one of your mates will know which competition suits your skill level. Moreover, they will be able to know which competitions you should avoid in the area. A poorly executed competition will give you nothing but a bad taste. Also, you can ask your trainer or coach, even gym owners can help you find the right female CrossFit comp.
If you are determined to take part in the competition, allow yourself enough time for preparation.
