Exercise may boost up senior memory and learning skills
Written by Robi Tylor
According to the January Issue of the Archives of Neurology, senior citizens that participated in moderate exercise on a regular basis have a reduced risk of cognitive impairment. Not only that, but those that participated in moderate activities like swimming, aerobics or yoga have been found to have a 39% reduction in the chances of developing dementia.
It doesn’t matter what age you are, we all know that regular physical activity is good for you. Whether is for boosting your mood or improving your sex life, exercise can help you lead a better, happier life.
First of all, exercise controls your weight. It can help you get rid of that excess weight or help you maintain weight loss. No matter what you do, whether is going to the local gym, running around or just simply doing powerwalks, daily exercise is extremely important.
Exercise also protects you from health conditions and diseases. Among the things that it combats we can find strokes, type 2 diabetes, depression or metabolic syndrome.
It also greatly improves your mood. If you need to blow off some steam, a simple session of swimming or a trip to the local gym can help you out. Physical activities stimulate the brain into releasing certain chemicals that will make you feel more happy and relaxed. Not to mention that going to the gym on a regular basis makes your look and feel better, which increases your opinion on yourself, which ultimately boosts up your confidence and makes you feel you can do anything you set your mind to.
If you are looking for a place to live where you also have the chance to exercise on a regular basis in a place near home, then you should consider renting a Senior Condo, La Verne, CA or Senior Apartments, La Verne, CA.
Exercise also improves your muscle strength and boosts your endurance. If you feel like you are getting tired way more often than you should, try doing regular physical activities. Results won’t take too long to show.
Another great advantage of exercise is that it highly improves your sex life. If you are feeling out of shape and sometimes way too tired to enjoy getting intimate with your partner, go out and exercise. And that’s not all; regular physical activities help women reach enhanced arousal. There’s great news for men as well, doing exercises on a regular basis gives them less chances of having an erectile dysfunction.
