When it comes to wildlife, Ranthambore national park is a name worth to mention. Located in the Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, it is a famous wildlife destination in India. This renowned forest reserve was once the hunting spots of kings of Jaipur. The park boasts of its tiger and different species of wildlife. Its beautiful landscapes also add more charm to the place.

The sanctuary plays a significant role in the protection of tigers. In the year 1973, it also became a part of 'Project Tiger' and in the year 1980, it became a national park. Since then it has been known for its project tiger's conservation efforts.

Being blessed with a tropical dry deciduous dwelling, it is a suitable place for tigers. Gradually, the park demands core areas and to meet the same, nearby villages relocated in other areas. Now there are around 23 villages within this forest reserve. Tourists can also enjoy a visit to the rural areas. The landscape covering the belts of deciduous forests with ancient pipal, banyan trees, salai, dhok, ber, ranj and palm trees.

Wildlife Attractionsr
Ranthambore is an important biosphere for it harbors rich variety of species of animals and birds.
Other than tigers, the park is home to around 200 species of birds. You can also find here 30 species of mammals encompassing the 12 species of reptiles. Some popular names in the list include leopard, wild boar, sambar, jungle cat and sloth bear. If you are a bird lover, the park allows you to catch the glimpses of eagle owl, lesser spotted eagle, peacock, crested serpent eagle and much more.

Ranthambore Fortr
It is a 10th century magnificent fort. The fort spreads over the entire park area. Its height is 700 ft. over the covering plain. You can visit 3 red Karauli 'Stone Temples' within the fort. Dedicated to Ramlalaji and Ganesh Shiva, these temples date back to the 12th and 13th centuries.
Padam Talaor
This is the largest lake among all the beautiful lakes situated within the park. It boasts of the marvelous red sandstone Jogi Mahal, situated at its edge. Near to it, there is a banyan tree that ranks as the second largest tree in India.

Exciting Jeep Safarir
Many tourists come to the park to spot a tiger in the park. Not many people get to see the tigers. Those are lucky who spot a tiger. However, jeep safari is the best way to catch the exclusive view of tigers.

Time to Visitr
The best time to visit this wildlife sanctuary is from October to June.
