There are benefits to using subcontractors, but it is important to ensure that you trust those individuals, as they will be in and out of apartments regularly.

It is not only the apartments that are occupied that are going to need assistance, there are times when you are also going to need to do work when there are vacant apartments. It is unlikely that your maintenance staff is going to be able to handle all of the problems that can arise to turn an apartment over for new tenants. It may be necessary for carpet to be removed or at the very least, professionally cleaned. Painting is something that is typically done between tenants as well. Hiring companies that can take care of these items is going to be of benefit to the entire community. Additionally, you would want to ensure that anyone that you do have available to take care of those tasks can be worked into the schedule appropriately.
