Property owners like to put a fence around their property for security and because it looks good. You have many choices when it comes to the selection of the chain link fencing material for the property. These include the choices in color, thickness of the material of the wire, type of covering for the wire, and so on.

Use of mesh link fencing

The actual specification will depend on the choice of the property owner. You can find out the strength specifications from the Chain Link Fence Manufacturers website. Here we see how to install the mesh fencing for your property.

It is easy to install the fence once you have all the needed material together. Start with the holes of the gate posts and line posts. The holes need to be bigger than the posts so add 3 or 4 inches to the actual diameter and use this as the diameter for the hole. If you have 4-inch diameter poles, dig 7-8 inch holes. The corner posts are bigger so these holes have to be bigger.

Get the measure of the hole right

The holes must accommodate the gravel and provide enough anchoring. A rough measure of the depth of the hole will be to add 4 inches for the gravel and one-third the pole length for the anchoring. So if the pole is 6 feet in height, your hole must have 2 feet and 4 inches depth at least. Put in the poles and add about 4-5 inches of gravel.

For the corner posts and the gate posts, add 6 inches of concrete. Then, continue to level the post using a plumb level. Add concrete and check the plumb. Do this until the hole is completely filled. Slope the tops of the concrete so the rain water will run away. Now, it is time to install the tension bands. These help to keep up the tension in the fence once they are in place.

Placing the hinges and latches

You can get more specifications and the names of the tools you need from the Fencing Materials Manufacturers in your area. Or, you can search for them online. You will need 3-4 tension bands for each mesh. Place the hinges and latches in the place they will finally be when everything is set. Put the caps in place on the gate band. You will need a rubber mallet to drive the end caps into place.

Now, put the looped caps on to the poles. Place the poles in the holes. Fix rail caps to all the brace bands. Adjust the length of the rail caps by cutting or fitting with other rail caps. Fix the rails into the rail caps. Adjust the height of the mesh using the rail caps leaving two inch clearance at the bottom. Now, fill the holes and tamp it down. Use dirt and concrete to achieve a good fill.

Bolt the tension bars to the tension bands at the end meshes. Now, stretch the mesh with the fence puller. If you do not do this, the fence will sag. Crank the fence puller until the sag is less than a quarter of an inch.
