Feng Shui (pronounced fung shway in the English speaking language) is an ancient Chinese knowledge that is used to combat unsuccessful or poor lifestyles. It is believed that by arranging objects and furniture in your home, as well as the design and colouring, you can allow positive energy, known as Qi (pronounced chi) to flow freely through your home, enabling its occupants a better and more successful standard of living. Feng Shui is the management of this energy, or Qi, and at its most basic level, moving such objects as your TV, sofa, or even the direction in which you sleep can bring you more fulfilment in your life.
It is important to practice Feng Shui throughout your entire house, as to enable your whole living environment to be filled with a free current of positive energy. Some people also chose to implement Feng Shui in their work place, filling all aspects of their life with openly flowing Qi. Though, some rooms in your home have a tendency to be more important in the execution of Feng Shui. These are the rooms in which you spend more time, or the rooms in which certain elements of Qi work to make more successful, such as the bedroom, entrance hall and living room. The elements in your life that Feng Shui can help to make more successful include a better love life, as well as better health, happiness and wealth, culminating together to bring you a better quality of life overall.

Feng Shui management in your living room is a vital process in affording you an improved way of life. Not only is it the most family orientated room, and therefore has the ability to achieve fulfilment in the lives of the entire household, but it is the place in which any guest will be situated, therefore bringing a more welcoming, satisfying atmosphere to entertain in. Also, it is the room which stands the most chance of becoming cluttered, as it is the most lived in by everyone. Clutter is an extremely detrimental force to the flow of Qi, and can cause much harm by blocking the majority of positive energy that travels throughout your home, negatively influencing your life. Fortunately, clutter is one of the easiest things to combat.

Clearing the clutter in your home can be time consuming and can take quite a lot of effort. Although, this is not the main reason that most people choose to avoid it. Tidying or clearing away your possessions can be quite an emotional experience; therefore it takes quite a bit of emotional stamina to complete the process. The good news is though that if you do decide to clear away your clutter and find ways to avoid building it up again, you enable yourself more clarity, higher energy levels and a elevated sense of well being in your everyday life. Avoiding the accumulation of clutter can be as simple as purchasing products that help you manage your everyday purchases that have a tendency to build up. Items such as storage boxes, which can be specifically designed for certain objects such as magazines and letters, can help to keep your living area clutter free. Plastic magazine files and magazine storage boxes help to neatly and easily store items that you buy on a regular basis. It’s extremely important that any surface in your living room is kept clear, as it symbolises health in Feng Shui.

Items such as these are extremely easy to come by, and are just one more step towards achieving successful Feng Shui in your life.
