Finally I Feel Good About My SAT And ACT Prep
Written by Richard Hale
ACT and SAT tests are stressful, even when colleges are not worrying about it, you know you want those scores as high as possible. After 2 attempts with each tests and not reaching my goal, I decided to reach out for help. That's how I was fortunate enough to come across TestGeek https://www.testgeek.com (ACT tutoring - SAT tutoring, they do several things to help with SATs and ACTs.
Make no mistake about it, I tried 2 other sources before TestGeek. I won't mention them here, it was a joke. Many companies are taking advantage of students. That's for another time, this is about getting prepared for your ACT and SAT tests.
You know your scores will impact your college acceptance (I don't care what the school tells you), and you better get started with your preparations. But questions abound. What’s the best way to practice? Does tutoring make sense? How can you bulk up your vocabulary?
Another reaso
I'm big on TestGeek is their free resources, it's a great portal for students. I give credit where credit is due, they helped me ace my tests. I'm 35 just in case you're wondering. Did I need high scores? At my age, you bet your bottom dollar I did.
There's also several SAT and ACT prep apps available you can try. Personally, I need to work with someone, but that's just me. Students learn at different levels, what works for one may not work for another. For myself, the one-on-one tutoring was extremely helpful.
Just like you, I've tried a lot of the free apps, tests, it's all the same. I have nothing against them, but they just didn't prepare me like one-on-one tutoring did. I realize everyone may not need one-on-one and that's fine, but it helped me a lot.
I have a full time business I need to run, a lot of the SAT and ACT tutoring had specific schedules. I needed something that I could fit into my schedule, TeskGeek allowed me to do just that.
The results, this is why I'm writing this today. For my SAT, I scored 240 points higher, scoring a 1302. For my ACT, I scored 8 points higher, scoring a 27. I'd like to get that a little higher but it's much better than my 19 previously.
Your SAT and ACT scores are extremely important, my hope this helps one of you reading to better your scores and life. Truly, I know how vital these scores are. Today, I have many more opportunities versus what I had prior. For that, I'm thankful to my tutors.
