Good height is a lifelong dream of many and there are certain exercises which can have influential effect over one’s growth. These exercises not only trigger the secretion of human growth hormone from your pituitary gland, but also promote lateral increase in bone length. It is important to know which type of exercise is most salutary for height increase and when and how to start. For any height increase program, the younger you start the better results you get although anyone, at any age and condition, can start with such exercise.

Amongst several exercises for height increase, stretching exercise is regarded as the number one exercise to grow taller. By stretching, muscles and ligaments around the vertebrae are relieved from tension, loosening the muscle fiber and enabling the free lateral growth of your bones.

Pelvic lift is the most preferred and simplest stretching exercise that helps in stretching muscle fibers present on and under your spine and around the hip area. To begin with, you need to lie down on your back with arms and shoulders firmly held on the floor. Then bend your knees and bring your feet closet to your buttock. Now lift your pelvic upwards forming an arch-like position and hold it for at least 20 seconds. Repeat it 10 times and you will feel the stretch in your hip area and back.

The next exercise to grow taller is called the dry land swim or alternate leg kick. The lower back muscles are stretched the most while performing this stretching exercise. Its procedure is also simple, lie down straight on your stomach and stretch your body towards the front. Now raise your right hand and left leg off the ground and remain in this position for as long as you can. Then perform the same with other hand and leg.

Stretching exercises helps in strengthening core muscles, increase levels of human growth hormone in your blood stream and improves your posture. It is recommended that for achieving optimal growth benefits from stretching exercises, they should be performed for three consecutive days leaving one day in between for rest, and must be carried on for as long as possible. Your physician can guide you about the intensity and duration of performing
stretching according to your fitness level.

Along with this, high intensity exercises like cycling, swimming, sprinting, and other anaerobic activities also have immense impact on production of human growth hormone by one’s body and thus help you stay fit and grow taller. Increasing height by exercise is a slow but permanent process and cost you nothing but your time. But it’s worth spending at least half an hour of your day stretching yourself to grow in height that you may look fit, tall, and confident!
