Learning how to live peacefully is about no longer viewing life as a struggle and no longer feeling that you need to be in control or manage anything around you. Finding peace is about acceptance of everything, of not only yourself, but about accepting your place in life. This doesn’t mean in any way that you should give up; it means you can let go of any resistance you feel to the moment you are in. You can still strive for things and be driven, but along the way, you can accept whatever path you are on. Without trying to control everything, we will walk down the path we are meant for because we are not holding ourselves back.

When we let go, peace will find us. Because we accept and we are open. When we struggle within, when we hold ourselves back, we cannot find peace. Even if life feels good on the outside, how we feel on the inside may not correlate. Why is this? We feel discontentment within ourselves because we do not accept the moment we are in, we have not let go of the idea of control, and we do not trust our path in life. Our journey belongs to us; although, we do not control it. We may manifest our desires by our choices we make, but we cannot control the outcome of what may be. It causes a struggle when we think we can, for the outcomes of any moment are not in our control. We only control the fight we may have when we oppose these outcomes. When we let the moment we are in move freely, accepting it along the way, we become part of the moment and by doing so we find peace. By letting the struggle of trying to control everything fall away, we can be present within the reality of the moment and find peace within ourselves.

Finding peace is about letting go, being present, and true acceptance of where you are. This doesn’t mean things won’t change. In fact, everything always does change. Accepting that things will move and change, with or without your choosing it, is also important in finding peace with where you are. Again, one cannot control where one is in life. Peace is being in the moment and letting it be as it is without struggle, resistance, or fighting it. Pure acceptance brings pure peace, no matter the situation. Instead, you can let go and say to yourself that what the moment is, is simply what is happening, it will change as will you, and you will be part of it. Therefore, by letting it be and by going with the flow of the moment, there is no challenge, no struggle, and no wanting. There is simply being. All of this truly leads to you finding peace within.
