FIVE SERPENTS GUARDING SUCCESS

Every man and woman who is in search of success in any area of his or her life can attest that success is not easy to come by. In fact, success is only awarded to the brave, strong, committed, and courageous; therefore, success is guarded by five serpents to ensure that only the most worthy of success attain such a high prize. You will inevitably come face to face with these five serpents if you choose to journey down the path of success. Each one of these serpents has sharp fangs with deadly venom that seeps from the tips once they have sunk into your delicate skin.

The first serpent is rejection. Rejection has a way of alienating us, putting us on the outside of things and making us feel unworthy in some way. The rejection of a father is the deepest form of rejection known to the human race. The serum from this serpents fangs sink deep in when someone that you trust, love, and respect turns his or her back on you and deserts you. The second serpent is jealousy. When jealousy sets in, you’ll find yourself paranoid, thinking that everyone is out to get you, when in reality no one is conce
ed with your successes or failures. As this serum seeps into your blood stream, it’s like bad hallucinations of one million spiders crawling on your body and biting you all at once.

The third serpent is insecurity. If the first two serpents don’t stop you in your tracks, this third one is sure to get the job done. Once bitten, you’ll find yourself doing evil, unnecessary things to others so that you can always stay in the light. You’ll step on, slander, and lie on whoever’s in the way of what you want or feel you deserve. The fourth serpent is false accusations. Here’s the second serpent that you have little to no control over, much like the first one. When someone falsely accuses you of something such as an inappropriate act or the lack of performing your job, then all you have to rely on is your character. If you don’t have character, then be certain that this evil serpent will take you out.

The fifth and final serpent is time. Sometimes your character isn’t enough to save you. You may get falsely accused and sentenced, or you may lose your job due to a false accusation. At that point, the final serpent, time, is designed to completely destroy you. The longer you wait and don’t see positive changes the more discouraged and hopeless you become until you eventually abandon your quest for success all together.
