Flomax is a prescription drug which is belong to a group of drug called alpha-adrenergic blockers. It is a drug which is used for the treatment of men who are having difficulty in urinating as they are suffering from the problem of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH). Flomax helps in relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck and make it to urinate. By relaxing these muscles it leads to relief of symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH) such as difficulty in the flow of urine in the beginning, feeling of needing to urinate frequently or urgently, weak stream. This medication can be used for other conditions as directed and suggested by the doctor or health care professionals.

Flomax drug interactionr
Flomax medicine may interact with other medicines such as warfarin (Coumadin), metronidazole (Flagyl, Protostat), cimetidine (Tagamet), cyclosporine (Gengraf, Neoral, Sandimmune, metronidazole (Flagyl, Protostat), warfarin (Coumadin) etc. So if you are taking any of these medicines or other you must consult your doctor or health care professionals.

I should know before taking Flomax medicine?
Before using Flomax drug for the treatment you should be aware of few important things. If you are allergic to Tamsulosin avoid taking Flomax drug for the treatment as it may lead to some serious side effects. It is recommended by the doctor’s and health care professionals that the patient should take this medicine in the night as it cause fainting or dizziness. Take your dose as exactly prescribed or advised by your doctor. Do not change the dose of the medicine without consulting the doctor or health care professionals.

How should I take Flomax?
Take Flomax as suggested or advised by the doctor. Do not increase or decrease the dose of the medicine without consulting your doctor and also do not take it longer than recommended. Usually, Flomax is taken once a day, exactly 30 minutes after the meal. Try to take this medicine at the same time each day. If you have stop taking Flomax due to any reasons and again you want to start with the medicine, consult your doctor as you may need any adjustment in the dose.

What to do if i miss a dose?
Take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If the time is near to the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the dosage schedule. Do not take extra dose to make up with the missed dose.

Side effects of Flomaxr
If you have any signs of unusual weakness, trouble sleeping, dizziness, blurred vision you should consult your doctor immediately. Taking of Flomax can lead to some common and serious side effects. These common side effects are sleep disorder, bad throat, sleepiness, abnormal ejaculation, runny or blocked nose and some serious side effects are losing consciousness, severe dizziness, painful erection of penis lasting up to 4 hours or longer.

Flomax should be stored at room temperature at 15-30 degree C away from the heat, light and moisture. Keep this medicine away from the reach of the children and pets. If Flomax medicine is not in use or got expired discard this product properly.
