Foot & Ankle Painful Conditionsr
The foot is a combination of mechanical complexity and structural strength. The foot also supports and balances the body as you stand, move, or raise from up. On the other hand, the ankle serves as a shock absorber as well as a propulsion engine. The ankle is in the form of a hinge and it is a joint that comprises a capsule containing fluid that nourishes and lubricates the joint facilitating motion between the foot and the leg.
The foot and the ankle consist of 33 joints, 26 small bones, more than 100 muscles, ligaments, and tendons, and lastly a network of blood vessels, nerves, soft tissue, and skin.
