Former Resident of Maryland, Dr. David Kyle, Announces Retirement
Written by susan wallace
Dr. David Kyle, former Maryland resident, is proud to announce his retirement. While he will continue to provide consulting services to multiple clients, he has chosen to take a step back from day-to-day business operating tasks. He has also moved across the country, and has set up house with his wife Nancy in California. While he was working in Maryland, Dr, David Kyle discovered that a form of algae could produce a certain fatty acid (DHA) crucial to eye and brain development in babies. This critical nutritional component is now included in 99% of baby formulas produced in the United States, and many other countries around the world. As a result of the work he did in Maryland, Dr. David Kyle was inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame and he's one of only about 60 people to hold that honor. "I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Maryland," Dr. David Kyle says. "After all, Maryland was where I was living when I found my greatest professional success. But, my wife Nancy and I are also putting down roots in California now, and we love it here." During his time in Maryland, Dr. David Kyle developed an interest in photography. He plans to expand upon this interest in his retirement. "California provides me with plenty of subjects for my photography," says David Kyle. "I also have more time to devote to my craft, and I've seen my skill set improve and grow since I retired. It's been deeply satisfying." David Kyle is a member of the Photography Club of Gualala in California, and he recently took home a 2nd place award in digital photograph in the Art in the Redwoods competition in Gualala, California. His consulting firm, known as DJK Consulting Services, was founded in 2010.
