Liposuction is a process which is used to remove extra fat from the deposits under the skin. The procedure of liposuction needs steel tube also known as cannula which works with the help of powerful vaccum. The method of anesthesia which is used in this procedure varies from person to person. Liposuction can be performed under general anesthesia as well as local anesthesia.
Liposuction is performed with various techniques and some of them are tumescent technique, dry technique, wet technique, super wet technique, ultrasonic technique and power assisted technique. The ideal candidate of liposuction is a person who is not a smoker and not having history of any systemic diseases like cardiac disorders, immunodeficiency disorders, lung diseases and diabetes. A person who is excessively obese is not a suitable candidate for liposuction. If a person is taking any medication he should inform about this to the surgeon before the operation. The cost of the liposuction can be from $12000 to $20000 depending on the volume of operation.
