As spring (and allergy season) go into full swing, the acupuncturists at Boca Raton Acupuncture Clinic have a number of exciting announcements to share. First, Dr. Li Zheng has joined Dr. Changhong Zhou in receiving her license to perform vitamin point injections in Florida. After 60 hours of training with an experienced practitioner in Orlando, FL, she is now fully certified to perform this novel and effective procedure. She has already started giving vitamin B12 injections to current patients in Boca Raton to relieve muscle pain with great success, and Boca Raton Acupuncture Clinic is looking into the possibility of adding other injectables to its array of offerings.
In the next two months, Boca Raton Acupuncture Clinic will be hosting 2 free lectures in Delray Beach and Palmetto. On May 15 from 2-4 pm, Dr. Li Zheng will be giving a talk titled Stress Reduction through Herbal Tea and Acupuncture at Greenland’s Health & Wellness in Delray Beach. This will be Dr. Zheng’s first talk on acupuncture in Delray Beach and her first collaboration with Greenland’s Health & Wellness. The event will include a presentation segment and time at the end to ask Dr. Zheng any pressing health questions. Although the event is free, space is limited. On June 12, Dr. Li Zheng will be heading to Whole Foods Market in Pompano from 11 am – noon to talk about how herbal teas and acupuncture can reduce inflammation. Because low-level inflammation can have significant adverse effects on health that lead to various conditions from tendonitis to cancer if allowed to persist unchecked, learning how to minimize inflammation levels is an essential tool for living a long, healthy life.
Last month, Dr. Li Zheng and Dr. Changhong Zhou celebrated the milestone of the one-year opening of the new office of their first practice, Boston Chinese Acupuncture. With its 5-room space in Needham, MA, this new clinic has helped Boston Chinese Acupuncture dramatically decrease patient wait times, improve scheduling flexibility, and provide better service overall. To commemorate this anniversary, they have launched a new, mobile friendly version of the clinic’s website at http://bocaacupuncture.org/. While the old website can still be accessed at BostonChineseAcupuncture.com, the latest announcements and posts will be updated exclusively on their new website.
Earlier this month, Dr. Li Zheng made her radio debut on AM1470 WAZN, the Greater Boston area’s first Chinese language radio station. The historic founding of this radio station reflects the increasing acceptance of the value of Chinese language and culture in New England. During her 20-minute segment, Dr. Zheng discussed hormone balance issues for both women and men, focusing on PCOS, infertility and menopause symptoms for the former and on prostate enlargement and erectile dysfunction for the latter. Boca Raton Acupuncture Clinic hopes to bring these types of media programs to educate people about acupuncture in Palm Beach and in Delray Beach.
Boca Raton Acupuncture Clinic is committed to community development and being an active member of local small business associations. To this end, Boca Raton Acupuncture Clinic is has joined the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce as well as the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce. Through chamber events and general outreach, Dr. Li Zheng and Dr. Changhong Zhou hope to bring acupuncture to a greater number of residents in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and the Palm Beach areas. In addition, there is great potential for partnering with other healthcare providers in the area, and the acupuncturists hope that by complimenting acupuncture with other alternative medical treatments, they will be able to help the residents of southern Florida lead healthier lives.
Li Zheng is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist and a graduate of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine with 11 years of formal training, including 6 years of residency. She holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the US and is a Harvard Medical School-trained researcher and a professor at the New England School of Acupuncture. Her two practices are located in Needham, MA and Boca Raton, FL. She has 26 years of clinical experience. Here she is sharing the information about Acupuncture Delray Beach
