I finally did it. I gave up my favorite TV show. The only one I watched, in fact.

Because it doesn’t make the cut for The Love Diet.

I enjoyed watching the show (Which will remain nameless) because I fell in Love with the characters. The romantic and comedic aspects were good entertainment, but it’s still a crime drama.

And I’m focused on creating a more Loving world.

I believe that art reflects society... and society reflects art.

So choosing what media we consume casts an important vote.

If you want more peace, Love and joy in your life (And in the world), you want to spend your free time on activities that align with these values.

Even though I used to think that watching was a relaxing reward, I’ve realized that exposing myself to the traumatic events in each episode is... traumatizing!

And for a woman like me, who’s sensitive and likes it that way, this isn’t really a healthy experience.

A Better Option

I keep thinking about just how incredibly important The Love Diet is.

It’s all about choosing to put Love in... to get Love out.

This means food, media, people and even the thoughts that you let reside in your head.

So how do you get on the Love Diet?

First, you become aware of what you’re consuming/accepting. Ask yourself these questions to help define what “the good stuff” is:

♥ Am I eating foods that nourish me?

♥ Am I reading/watching media that uplifts, empowers and inspires me?

♥ Am I spending time with people that believe in me and my dreams?
Do they offer me Love in the form of support and encouragement?
Are they positive examples of what is possible?

♥ Am I thinking kind and Loving thoughts? Am I treating myself with respect and compassion?

Just raising your awareness will help you start improving your decisions about what you want to allow into your body, your mind and your life.

Commit to taking baby steps in the right direction.

You don’t need to try to change everything at once. Come up with a plan that works for you.

Experiment.

Try a week without TV.

Or cut out refined sugar.

Or skip calling the “friend” who makes you feel less energized.

Notice how you feel when you choose a more Love-filled option.

Focus on what you can include in your Love Diet, instead of paying attention to what you are eliminating.

Get hooked on the good stuff.

Because the more positive input you ingest, the better you’ll feel.

And as I said, I think the Love Diet is really important.

Because it will lift you as an individual.

And you, in turn, will lift the world to new heights.
