Global skin care trends move towards healthier skin
Written by Claude Be ard
Many cultures around the world achieve a beautiful golden tan by laying in the sun in order to give the skin a healthier look, however, sun tanning damages the skin over time. Exposing your skin to UV radiation while spending time in the sun, can lead to sunburn that in turn destroys the skin cells as well as the skins DNA. Once such skin damage occurs, many cells are repaired and many cells die. However, long term damage can occur when the skin is repeatedly exposed or sun burned. Extensive damage over a long period can lead to a suppressed immune system, premature aging and skin cancer. For example one of the fastest growing types of cancer worldwide is melanoma. As opposed to a decade ago, there are more people suffering from skin cancer as opposed to other types of cancer.
Skin cancer such as melanoma is a very serious cancer which is caused due to the skin being exposed to sun burn repeatedly, and such skin cancer can also occur in early childhood. Everyone is susceptible to skin cancer especially when repeatedly exposed to UV rays and it takes just e incident of severe sunbu
to increase the chances of developing skin cancer. There are 3 types of cancer of the skin that are common such as malignant melanoma, basal and squamous cell carcinoma. The most commonly diagnosed form of skin cancer is basal cell carcinoma, which if diagnosed at an early stage can be cured. This type of skin cancer presents with a reddish patch or small bump.
Studies have revealed in Australia that broad spectrum sunscreens must contain around a third UVA protection which until recently has been difficult to measure and define. Ella Bache for example already provides a reformulated SPF50+ sunscreen of which is of superior quality. In additio
Ella Bache also provides sunless tanning products which are safe to use and is beneficial in preventing UV damage to the skin. Sunless tanning lotions will give you an even sun tanned look and comes in a variety of different fragrances. Studies have also revealed that 95% of rays are UVA and penetrate the skin year round on cloudy days, behind glass and the winter sun.
The Ella Bache range has taken a new approach with regards to protecting the skin from the sun and the sun screen products available meet with the stringent Australian standards. When exposing your skin to the sun for long periods it is advisable to wear sunglasses and a hat and make use of a SPF50+ sunscreen. All of the Ella Bache foundations and skin care products contain sunscreen protection. Prevention is far better than cure when it comes to UVA rays.
