Goa trip: Our love affair with exotic Goa continues
Written by Goa beaches, Goa trip, holiday in Goa
Goa is one of the most attractive corners perched in the south-western corner of India. Sharing its neighborhood with Arabian Sea has its own merits and the exoticness of Goa beaches is a living testimonial of the fact. Goa’s scenic delights have already been brilliantly captured in films like Josh, Dil Chahta Hai and many more. Here are some of the things you can expect from your Goa trip.
Beaches and water sports: This corner pulls tourists from all over the world who love to take a Goa trip and hop over to the fun-filled beaches that offer bliss, serenity and frolic. The sun tickles your face and the sea kisses your feet. The sunset and the beautiful horizon are like feasts to your pupils. Besides, the water sports offered can trigger a rush of adrenaline. While you can take that inviting plunge into the depths of the warm turquoise waters, you can also explore your adventurous side by going for speed boating, aqua cycling, fishing, surfing, swimming, scuba diving, skiing and parasailing. Dona Paula is a popular beach offering leisurely activities. Other renowned Goa beaches include those of Anjuna beach, Colva beach, Candolim beach, Benaulim beach and the Vagator Beach.
Wildlife: Goa’s landscape is panoramic and the lush green environment lends it a rich flora & fauna. There are sanctuaries like the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary or the Mandovi-Zuari Wildlife Sanctuary. You can spot some rare, exotic birds and creatures here and let your cameras do the talking. A holiday in Goa is also an excuse to get close and personal with some friendly animals, like elephants. You must bathe an elephant and see the joyful color rushing into your face.
Churches & monuments: Goa’s charm lies in its old cathedrals like the Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral. These are colossal structures and are bathed in history & sedateness. Then there are monuments like the old edifices, government buildings and forts (for instance, the noted Fort Aguada lighthouse) which will woo you completely.
Sight-seeing spots: There’s no dearth of sight seeing spots in this place. Apart from the Goa beaches, you can take a stroll of this heavenly garden to feast on Dudhsagar Waterfalls and the Anjuna Flea Market. The Portugal culture is truly reflected in the architecture and colonies. Apart from other hot spots, you can also have a whale of a time in cruises.
Other attractions: The massage parlors, Ayurvedic spas, forests, waterfalls, clubs, casinos, bars and parlors lend Goa a happening night life. Mouth-watering food in great restaurants, carnivals and music festivals are other delights of a holiday in Goa.
