Chile skiing adventures offer you something a bit different then European and US resorts. There are quite a few areas where you can go snow skiing in Chile that aren’t near big cities or even small towns. This nation has a lot to brag about where natural beauty is concerned and getting up in the mountains is one of the best ways to see it. Part of the appeal of Chile skiing is that you can get out in the wilds and really have an adventure, not a prepackaged tour that makes sure every natural environment you traverse is anything but challenging.

Chile is, where natural environments are concerned, most associated with the incredibly diverse jungles that make up the lowlands and the soaring heights of the Andes. These mountains provide the best snow skiing in Chile. There are some slopes where you’ll find snow that is very similar to what you’d expect in Colorado, which means incredible powder, of course. There are also some of the most amazing off-piste adventures imaginable waiting to be had in this exotic location. The resorts, despite some of them being a bit removed from civilization, are as luxurious as you’d expect in any other region of the world.

When you ski Chile, there are always opportunities to test your abilities. If you want to do it the smart way, this nation has plenty of ski instructors but, more importantly, there are guides, as well. Snow skiing in Chile doesn’t necessarily mean going down the same slope and up the same lift over and over again. In fact, you can take a few days, make a trek and get to some remote slopes that will take your breath away. If you’ve gotten so advanced that it’s hard for you to feel the rush when you’re on the groomed slopes, Chile has something out there that will make you feel like a beginner again.

Snow skiing in Chile can be an incredible adventure for the entire family, for a couple or for someone who’s caught the adventure bug and who wants to get out there themselves. Getting to the resorts is usually easy and can be done in several different ways. Some have helicopter service, others are accessed from nearby airports and there are even resorts within less than 50 miles of the city of Santiago, making it easy to hit the slopes.
