Indian railways offer some very good and comfortable trains for tourists enjoying Golden Triangle Tour. In fact, many prefer rail tour over road journey to the three most beautiful heritage cities of India: Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. There are various trains that connect the Golden Triangle. One can take a break journey or get reservations done separately. But for visiting these three beautiful places, the best and most preferred way is to get reservations done in advance making Delhi the starting point of rail tour. It is best to explore Delhi, the capital of India first. Here you get innumerous options to stay and since Delhi has lot to offer, you may spend more time here too. Sightseeing visits include places like the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Akshardham Temple, Iscon Temple and the Golden Temple. One should go to the India Gate and can also roam around in Connaught Place. The visit of Golden Triangle Tour would be incomplete without visiting the crowded lanes of Chandani Chowk for shopping or it’s Paratha Gali for typical Delhi roadside food. Once you satisfy yourself from Delhi after visiting all the discos, pubs, bars and having muti-cuisines, continue with your rail tour to the next destination, i.e. Agra. Agra is only a couple of hour’s journey from Delhi by rail tour. There are various trains that go till Agra however the quickest of them all is Shatabdi Express which leaves Delhi early in the morning at 6:00 am and reaches Agra by 8:00am. As soon as you reach Agra, you can hire a taxi from the station itself to see the place. One day is enough to visit Agra which stores Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. Special Agra tour buses also start from the railway station which charge much less than a taxi and take you around. It is a must to shop for local specialty Petha and juttis in Agra local market which on Golden Triangle Tour. The next destination of Golden Triangle Tour is Jaipur, which takes another three hours from Agra by train. As you reach Jaipur, its best to go to a hotel because you need to see Jaipur in minimum 2 days. First day, you can do all the sightseeing to Hawa MAhal, City Palace, Jal Mahal and Amber Fort and at night visit the famous Chowkhi Dhani for local flavors and folk of Rajasthan. Next day you should shop in Jaipur for local specialties like ghagra, juttis, bandhej, bandini, semi-precious stones etc and take a train back to Delhi to complete your rail tour.
